Welcome to Helping Spot Organisation, an NGO dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities and making a positive impact on their lives. With eight years of unwavering commitment, our organization has become a beacon of hope, providing over 1,200 charitable initiatives to those in need. We firmly believe that education, health, and hygiene are vital aspects of life, regardless of one’s circumstances.
Our Journey
Helping Spot began its mission in 2015 in Machilipatnam, with the aim of breaking the cycle of poverty and changing mindsets in underprivileged communities. Since then, we have expanded our reach to Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Hyderabad, touching the lives of many individuals and families in need.
Building Strong Relationships
Understanding the importance of connecting with slum residents on a daily basis, we have focused on building strong relationships with these communities. By regularly engaging with them, we aim to change perceptions and foster a supportive environment for education. One of the ways we facilitate these connections is through the utilization of surplus food from events. This approach not only allows us to provide meals for those in need but also establishes a bond and creates a platform for awareness and positive change. Additionally, our focus on excess food distribution actively contributes to saving the environment by reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
Expanding Our Efforts
Over time, our charitable initiatives have expanded beyond food distribution. We have developed strong relationships with slum residents, raising awareness about education, healthcare, and hygiene. Our consistent presence and dedication have led people to approach us for assistance with their children’s education and medical sponsorships. Furthermore, we recognize the importance of empowering women and have organized meetings with gynecologists to educate slum women about menstrual hygiene and the use of sanitary pads. By fostering awareness and providing necessary resources, we strive to improve the overall well-being of the communities we serve.
Facing Challenges and Strengthening Our Resolve
The COVID-19 pandemic tested our resolve, but it also showcased our strength and determination. During this challenging period, we extended our efforts and distributed over 45,000 free hygienic meals to COVID patients in Hyderabad. We stand united with the community, prioritizing their health and well-being during these uncertain times.
