Share love through food

Mission Annapurna

Mission Annapurna is a heartfelt initiative aimed at combating hunger and reducing food waste. We collect excess food from various sources such as functions, events, colleges, hotels, and hostels. This surplus food, which would otherwise end up in landfills, is distributed to underprivileged individuals and families in need. Through this project, we have distributed a total of 192 tons of food, providing nearly 2 tons of meals each month to those who are hungry. Our approach not only tackles immediate hunger but also contributes to a sustainable future by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Educating the underprivileged.

Mission Siksha Patra

Mission Siksha Patra focuses on providing education to underprivileged children. We firmly believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our dedicated team engages with parents, creating awareness about the importance of education for the next generation. Through this project, we have sponsored the education of 18 deserving students, empowering them with the knowledge and skills they need for a brighter future.

Through this project, we provide financial assistance for medical treatments, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary care they need to improve their health and well-being. To date, we have supported 18 patients, enabling them to receive the medical attention they require.

Free Food For Covid Patients

During the unprecedented waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, Helping Spot Organisation initiated a remarkable project called “Free Food For Covid Patients.” Recognizing the immense challenges faced by individuals affected by the pandemic, we took immediate action to alleviate hunger and provide nourishment to those in need.

In the initial wave, when sudden lockdowns left many migrant workers without access to food, we sprang into action. Cooking more than 300 meals each day, we diligently distributed them to these vulnerable individuals for a period of 62 days. This compassionate effort helped mitigate the hardships faced by those who had lost their means of livelihood.

As the second wave of the pandemic struck, claiming countless lives and instilling fear in the community, we witnessed the hunger and suffering experienced by COVID-19 patients. At this critical juncture, Bhargav Ventrapragada and his wife, Umabhargav, demonstrated immense courage and empathy. Despite Umabhargav being seven months pregnant, they took it upon themselves to prepare homemade meals and personally deliver them to COVID-19 patients at their doorstep.

To reach a wider audience and cater to the growing demands, we created a poster with the name “Free Food For Covid Patients” and shared it extensively. This heartfelt initiative quickly gained traction and resonated with thousands of people. Overwhelmed by the response, we received numerous requests from individuals who shared their house locations along with their COVID-19 reports via WhatsApp.

Witnessing the escalating need and fueled by an unwavering dedication to serve, Bhargav and Umabhargav utilized their entire savings to provide meals to COVID-19 patients. With the generous support of kind-hearted sponsors, we were able to rent out a hotel and scale up our operations. Collaborating with dedicated volunteers, we prepared and distributed 700 lunches and 700 dinners daily, serving a total of 35,000 COVID-19 meals across 15 locations in Hyderabad. This tireless effort spanned a period of 60 days, providing nourishment and solace to those in distress.

As the third wave of COVID-19 emerged, and with cases on the rise once again, the demand for food assistance continued to grow. In response to the overwhelming requests from COVID-19 patients, Bhargav and Umabhargav resumed cooking homemade meals at their residence. For an additional 30 days, they prepared and delivered 9,000 meals, ensuring that COVID-19 patients received the sustenance they needed during their recovery.

The “Free Food For Covid Patients” initiative stands as a testament to the compassion, resilience, and community spirit that defines Helping Spot Organisation. We remain committed to alleviating the hardships faced by those affected by the pandemic, and we express our deepest gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and kind-hearted sponsors who have made this project possible.
